GCBT consists of one of the GKB-1 weight innerducts, 25 mm thick fibreglass insulation- weight 16 / 24 / 32 kg/m3 and is covered with either a vapour barrier outerjacket or one of the (Alum + Scrim + PET) ducts. GCBT has been developed to minimise the heat gain or loss resulting from the temperature difference between the air flowing in a duct and the surrounding air. The vapour barrier prevents condensation forming on the outside of ducts carrying air at lower temperatures than the surrounding air.
